The Royal Entomological Society unites people around the world to share knowledge about the study of insects and engage audiences everywhere. We invest in meaningful entomology to benefit the natural world and society.

Membership is open to anyone interested in insect science wishing to join our global community of likeminded professionals and enthusiasts. All members and fellows receive Antenna, the quarterly bulletin of the Royal Entomological Society.

Membership and fellowship fees are discounted for anyone who is a student, retired and/or based in a low- and middle-income country.

Applications for Fellowship are welcomed from anyone who has contributed to entomological research and its application for over five years.

Honorary Fellow

Honorary Fellowship (Hon.FRES) is the highest honour awarded by the Royal Entomological Society.


Organisational Membership

This membership enables organisations to provide RES membership to their staff team at a discounted rate.

With tailored packages including individual membership discount and employee event support options, partners can choose from four different levels of membership to suit their needs. All members will also receive an Organisational Membership logo to use in your communications and marketing materials, as well as priority access to post on our industry leading careers board and our monthly newsletter, sent to over 2,500 entomologists.
