We’re so happy & grateful that the RES Garden has won Silver Gilt award at RHS Chelsea.
Congratulations to Tom Massey and the rest of the incredible team who have brought our beautiful insect education garden to life 🦋
RES Garden Auction
Several pieces were auctioned at the after hours entry to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, among them a live painting of the RES Garden and a smaller bumble bee painting, both created on the same day of auction by the lovely Sherree Valentine-Daines.
Day 4 – After Hours event
We may have made a world record of the number of entomologists at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show last night!
RHS Chelsea Flower Show visitors were full of enthusiasm for insects and bringing different habitats into their gardens. Great discussions were had about garden wildlife, insects, plants and weather (of course) at the RES Garden.

#RESGarden
The Royal Entomological Society is a non-profit organisation and relies on publishing, membership and donations to pursue its support of scientific, educational, ecological and entomological causes.
We plan to relocate the RES garden to central London with a new education program providing a long-term opportunity for insect study as part of our planned UK network of gardens. The garden will show how remarkable and valuable insects are with visible insect science taking place in the unique – insect eye inspired – outdoor laboratory.
Much like the diversity of insects, there are many ways to support us and our work – your contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a huge impact and enables us to continue to enrich the world with insect science.
