Sajidha Mohammed is a senior research fellow at the University of Calicut. Her research primarily focuses on the allergenic properties of the semiochemicals released by insects, particularly the Mupli beetle (Luprops tristis). She has recently developed a glass chamber for conducting the volatile studies of insects and is also working on designing a trap to control the huge aggregation of the Mupli beetle in indoor spaces. She holds a Master’s degree in Zoology with a specialisation in Entomology from the University of Calicut. Sajidha has also worked for the role of Entomology consultant as a trained government entomologist in the District Vector Control Unit of Wayanad, Kerala.
