Professor Trevor Lewis was born on July 8, 1933 in Riddings, Derbys, England. A British entomology educator and science administrator, Professor Lewis was recipient of the Huxley Gold medal for applied zoology Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, 1977, and named Commander of British Empire Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, London, 1992. Trevor Lewis has been listed as a noteworthy entomology educator and science administrator by Marquis Who’s Who.
Professor Lewis’ association with the Royal Entomological Society included a term of presidency from 1985-1987, a council member 1979-1983, and Chairman of symposium committee 1981-1993.
His other associated memberships included the Fellow Institute Biology London, British Association Advancement of Science (agriculture and forestry section president 1997).
