From a young age I’ve been fascinated with biodiversity, with a particular love for insects soon becoming apparent. Always keen to pursue entomological research, I eventually studied an MSci in zoology at the University of Sussex. During this time I completed projects on the effects of artificial light at night on ivy-visiting insects, a Junior Research Associate project on the availability of nest sites for wild honey bees, and a study on the creation and availability of tree-related microhabitats in southern Spain.
My current interests are grounded in behavioural ecology and evolution, and as a PhD student at University College London I am studying the evolution of dietary and life history traits in both solitary and social wasps.
