Dr Hefin Jones is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Biological Sciences at Cardiff University, Wales. His main interests centre on invertebrate community aspects of climate change, biodiversity and woodland ecology. More recently, he has also extended his work to freshwater habitats.
He has had a long association with the Royal Entomological Society, as a Trustee and Vice-President, Special Interest Group convenor, editor of Antenna and former editor of of Agricultural and Forest Entomology. Dr Jones is very active in the Public Understanding of Science, particularly of entomology, and is a frequent contributor on Welsh-language media presenting and discussing insects.
