Website guidance for structuring your CV and personal statement
Your CV and personal statement are essential components of your Fellowship application. The CV
should provide a concise overview of your achievements, while the personal statement offers an
opportunity to highlight unique contributions that may not be fully captured in the CV.
CV Structure (Two-Page Maximum)
Your CV should be organised into clear sections, focusing on your relevant experience and
contributions in insect science. Please keep it to a maximum of two pages, including up to five
selected publications or key achievements. Here are some recommended sections to include::

- Name, job title, and current position
- Contact details (email, phone number)
- Country of residence

Work Experience
- Position Title – Organisation Name, Location (Years)
- Provide a brief description of your role and major responsibilities. Include any notable achievements, innovations, or unique projects. Include relevant positions in chronological order, starting with the most recent.

- A link (if available) or citation for reference.
Skills and Certifications: Any specialised skills, technical expertise, or certifications relevant to your contributions in entomology.
Personal Statement Structure (350-Word Maximum)
The personal statement provides an opportunity to expand on key contributions that may not be
fully highlighted in your CV. Use this section to showcase your unique impact and commitment to the
field of entomology.
Suggested Outline
Opening Statement: Briefly introduce yourself and summarise your career focus or mission within entomology. This might include a sentence on your motivation or unique approach to your work.
