Meet Lloyd

This is Lloyd, a young fly who lives in a rotting apple with his parents, little sister PB and 224 maggot siblings! With his best friend Abacus the woodlouse, Lloyd often gets himself into sticky situations.

Characters

Lloyd of the Flies features a very large and diverse cast of relatable insect characters commonly found in UK homes and gardens, plus the occasional visitor from more exotic climes.

Fact checked by entomologists

Lloyd of the Flies is a comedy, first and foremost, but also has a seriously funny educational angle for anyone interested in the wonderful world of insects.

Entomologist, fly expert and RES Honorary Fellow Dr Erica McAlister Hon.FRES from the Natural History Museum joined the tv series’ writers’ sessions as an insect fact-checker.

The Lloyd of the Flies app and trail also contain lots of interesting facts about insects which our team have sourced and written as part of our partnership with our new Ambassador.
